About the Event
As a faith community, we care about social justice and strong communities. How do communities become divided, segregated, and unjust? It turns out that the Pruitt Igoe public housing project in North St. Louis is an example of how racism, classism, housing, government, and one-sided privilege can combine to deny economic mobility and justice to large segments of a community. Join us for pizza and a screening of The Pruitt Igoe Myth, a 2014 film that shows how this happens in a place just like ours and points to some ways we can behave differently to heal our community. January 24th, 6:30pm in the Lovejoy Room. Contact Dan Reus to attend so we have a headcount for pizza.
